In alignment with achieving the ambitious 2030 Aga, there is a pressing need to escalate domestic resources, expand global funding streams, and shift investment paradigwards public-private partnerships, domestic, and international funding sources. The integration of Sustnable Development Goals SDGs into national budgets and development cooperation has been increasingly recognized as pivotal in driving impactful decisions by investors.
Course Objectives:
This online course is jointly organized with the Joint SDG Fund to empower a diverse range of stakeholders including government officials, UN agency staff, financing experts, private sector representatives, non-profit organizations, and broader development communities. Its primary goals are:
Navigate through the multifaceted landscape of funding opportunities for sustnable development.
Deepen understanding of Integrated National Financing Frameworks INFF dynamics.
Explore reasons behind leveraging bled finance strategies in pursuit of SDG objectives.
Introduce participants to diverse financing mechanisms and their applications towards development goals.
Apply course insights through drafting a concept note on designing a bled finance mechanism for specific SDGs.

Module 2: Enabling Environment for SDG Financing INFFs
Module 3: Bled Finance Instruments and Mechanisms
Module 4: Designing Implementing a Financing Mechanism
Learning Format:
The course is delivered in an online format encompassing self-paced e-learning modules coupled with interactive live webinars, spanning across five weeks:
Self-paced learning: Equivalent to 1 day of learning per week through Articulate Rise platforms, including materials, case studies, activities, polls, and quizzes.
Live webinars: 8 sessions on Zoom covering facilitator-led discussions, expert presentations, interactive QA, with review of self-learning module content.
Certificate Joint SDG Fund Context:
Completion of the course will earn participants a certificate of participation. The Joint Sustnable Development Goals SDG Fund, an innovative mechanism incentivizing transformative policy shifts and strategic investments for meeting the SDGs, has already funded over 200 joint programs focusing on integrated social protection or SDG finance.
