On February 21, 2023, John Deere Tianjin Works JDTAW in China celebrated the milestone of producing its 70,000th tractor. A gathering of esteemed customers, dealers, John Deere leadership, and employees came together to commemorate this significant event.
Originally established as a transmission production line in 2007, JDTAW expanded its capabilities into multiple tractor manufacturing lines by 2012. Starting with the production of 75 HP tractors, it has since grown to accommodate even the flagship model - an 8R series tractor with an engine power output of up to 300 HP. These advanced s are currently being utilized across China and have significantly supported agricultural modernization efforts and contributed to farmers' success in the region.
The 70,000th tractor to roll off JDTAW's production line was a newly launched fiscal year 2023, designated as NR4 6M-2104. This tractor boasts an enhanced engine performance along with several key upgrades that promise to boost operational efficiency. Furthermore, it includes intelligent features such as iTEC which allow users to perform one-button field turning, offering a completely new experience for customers.
Zhou Wei, Director of JDAP Sales and Marketing, addressed the crowd with a warm opening speech, emphasizing that JDTAW's equipment is on par with global standards, supporting high-quality tractors across China and the Asia-Pacific region. He recognized the collective efforts from Deere teams, dealers, and customers who have played pivotal roles in this achievement. Zhou Wei also expressed his company's commitment to delivering advanced products and solutions tlored for the Asia Pacific region while offering comprehensive support throughout the product lifecycle.
JDTAW is more than just a local production hub; it serves as an international gateway exporting its ry to Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Currently, approximately 50 of its total sales volume comes from exports. The flagship product shipped from Tianjin Works for Asia's market is the 6B series tractor. Farmers in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Thland are leveraging these powerful tractors to enhance their productivity while optimizing costs.
